European Commissioner Urpilainen calls on PM Prachanda

European Commissioner for International Partnerships Jutta Urpilainen held a meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ at the latter’s office in Singh Durbar today.

During the meeting, issues related to development activities being implemented under the EU’s International Partnership in Nepal were discussed, according to PM Prachanda’s secretariat.

Urpilainen arrived in Nepal today for an official visit.

Commissioner Urpilainen’s visit comes at an important moment as Nepal is preparing to graduate from Least Developed Country (LDC) status in 2026, thus reaffirming the European Union’s strong and unwavering engagement with Nepal, including through the recent launch of the Multiannual Indicative Programme (MIP) for Nepal for 2021-2027, according to EU delegation to Nepal.
