The government has decided to provide relief to the farmers who incurred losses due to damage in the paddy crop following inundation and floods caused by the recent unseasonal rainfalls.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers today decided to provide relief up to 65 per cent of the loss to the farmers owning less than 10 kattha of land, informed government spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Minister for Communications and Information Technology.
According to government spokesperson Karki, the farmers having up to 3 Bighas of land will get 30 per cent of loss while those having more than 3 Bighas will get 20 per cent of loss as a relief.
