First international flight lands in Gautam Buddha International Airport


Gautam Buddha International Airport, Nepal’s second international aiport has formally come into operation on Monday, 16th May, marking the occassion of 2566th Buddha Jayanti. A Jazeera Airways aircraft landed at the recently completed international airport at 7:00 am on Monday.

Gautam Buddha International Airport, Nepal’s second international airport has recently completed its upgradation to an international airport, and is expected to boost connectivity within Lumbini and surrounding regions. Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways is the first airline to commit regular flights to the airport, and is expected to make three flights a week from Kuwait City to Siddharthanagar. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CIAA), besides Jazeera Airways, other airlines have also approached the authority to operate regular flights to Siddharthanagar.
