Five children have died here by drowning in the pond. It is the first time that five children have been drowned at a time here.
According to the District Police Office, five children of Mukhiyapatti Musaharniya-6, Laxmipur, died by drowning in the pond at mid-day today.
The children had gone to take a bath at the pond near their homes.
Among the dead are, 12-year old Laxiniya, daughter of Paltu Yadav, 10-year old Chandra Kumari, daughter of Jogindra Bhagat, 13-year old Manju, daughter of Rajgir Purbe, 12-year old Chandani, daughter of Jagarnath Thakur and 12-year old Lalita, daughter of Utim Sah Teli.
