Former Miss Nepals have joined hands with DM Foundation to create one of the biggest scholarship programmes in the country – FMNW scholarship.
The two sides informed that the scholarship will be given to the children orphaned by COVID-19 and those who need financial support to continue their education.
Taking into account of the uncertain future of these children and how vulnerable their lives have become after losing their primary caretakers, the FMNW scholarship aims to support them in continuing their education so they do not have to drop out of school, read a statement.
They also requested to the donors to support for the noble cause. The donors can proceed funding to DM foundation’s official bank account in Nepal Investment Bank and Civil Bank. The funding can also be forwarded by scanning QR Codes of Cellpay, Fonepay and E-Sewa listed in the official website www.ims-np.com/fmnw-scholarship, reads the press release.
As per the foundation, the scholarship will be provided to the ones who lost either one or both of their parents to COVID-19.
“With the belief that the children are the future of our country and that education will help them prosper, DM Foundation will be dedicated to supporting as many children as possible through the FMNW Scholarship,” read the statement.
Former Miss Nepals have been involved in various social causes like raising awareness on menstrual taboos, environment protection, conducting programs to motivate youths, cancer awareness and fundraisers to help others.
The foundation and former Miss Nepals have also requested the public to help such children in reaching out for the scholarship and ensure a quality future for them.
