Foundation Stone Laid For Construction Of Bridge Over Rapati River


A reinforced concrete cement (RCC) bridge is to be constructed over the Rapati rivulet. The 215 metres long and 11 metres wide bridge will link Nawalpur, ward number 11 and Padampokhari, ward number 12 of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City.

The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure of the Bagmati Province Government has allocated Rs 2 million 641 thousand 87 for the purpose. Hetauda sub-metropolis mayor Hari Bahadur Mahat said the bridge would be constructed in about two years.

Chief Minister for Bagmati Province Dormani Poudel laid the foundation stone for the construction of the bridge today. On the occasion, he said the province government has given priority to expedite the construction of projects of national pride, urban development and proportional distribution of development infrastructure.

Minister for Physical Infrastructure Rameshwor Phuyal said the province government has implemented various plans for expansion of water supply, construction of RCC bridges and roads, and electrification in various districts of the province.
