Five staffers of Bharatpur Hospital have tested positive for Covid-19. Of the five, four are doctors and includes the hospital’s Chief Medical Superintendent. The fifth person is also a healthcare worker.
Bharatpur Hospital is hub for coronavirus treatment in the region, and the hospital’s announcement to continue services comes as a relief to citizens of the area.
On Saturday, 27 people of Chitwan were diagnosed with Covid-19. Of them, 21 are residents of Bharatpur metropolis. The total number of infections has reached 199 in the district.
Meanwhile, in wake of the increased rate of infection in Bharatpur, the local administration has imposed a prohibitory order in the metropolis area.
The weeklong prohibition that came into effect on Friday midnight will apply for a week.
