Solidarity for Dr. Govinda KC, who is on the 24th day of his 19th hunger strike has intensified as public and medical fraternity continue to protest demanding the government pay attention to Dr. KC’s demands.

The government meanwhile is apathetic – earlier they were heard saying “now is not the right time to protest”, while yesterday the government requested Dr. KC to call off his hunger strike.

Dr. KC however is adamant, and wants the government to address his demands.

Meanwhile, the medical fraternity and the general public have been intensifying their protests in Kathmandu. Protests have been seen in Maitighar Mandala and TU Teaching Hospital.
