Stating that Ministry of Finance or the government alone should not be enough to run the country’s economy, he said that some kind of mechanism is needed to continuously link the knowledge and experience of subject matter of experts.
He informed that he was making plans in this regard. Speaking on the occasion, Finance Secretary Madhu Kumar Marasini said that he was aware of the fact that ‘we are the ones who know that pride can spread among the employees’ and expressed his commitment not to allow such a thing to happen.
He said that he would move ahead by incorporating the knowledge and experience of experts while formulating any policy and plan.
President of Nepal Economic Association Prof. Dr. Bishwambher Pyakuryal said that they have been assisting the Ministry of Finance in formulating the economic policy of the country and promised to continue the same in the coming days.
Similarly, economists Dr. Bhavani Dhungana, Dr. Shivaraj Adhikari and Gopal Tiwari said that there was not enough time for the new government to work and suggested to move ahead with programmes that would directly benefit the people.
