Govt Offices In Kathmandu Valley Resume Services


Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur District Administration Offices have resumed all the previously suspended services since Tuesday.
The District Administration Offices of the Kathmandu Valley have brought all the services back into operation from today abiding by the public health standards and protocols.
Earlier, these District Administration offices had suspended all services except for emergency due to increasing cases of COVID-19 after the outbreak of the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the District Administration of Kathmandu, issuance and distribution of new citizenship certificates, copy of citizenship, minor’s identity cards, passports and recommendation letters have resumed.
According to Man Bahadur Budha, administrative officer of the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, service seekers can visit the office to get their work done by following public health standards.
According to the District Administration of Kathmandu, issuance and distribution of new citizenship certificates, copy of citizenship, minor’s identity cards, passports and recommendation letters have resumed from Tuesday.
Similarly, registration and renewal of arms, registration and renewal of organisations, registration of newspapers and other recommendations have also begun.
The District Administration Office, Lalitpur, has requested all government and public bodies in the district to make arrangements for regular service from Tuesday, according to CDO Dhundi Prasad Niraula.
Residents of Lalitpur will be able to get the citizenship certificates, their copies, minor identity cards, passports and arms registration renewal services only on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
Those residing in Godawari and Mahalakshmi Municipalities will be able to avail services from the District Administration Office on Thursday and Friday.
The same service will be provided to the people of the rural municipalities of the district only on Wednesday, according to the DAO, Lalitpur.
According to the District Administration Offices, arrangements have been made to provide regular services to the municipalities outside Ring Road of the valley on the basis of days.
Currently, the restriction order is in place in 75 districts, including the districts of the Kathmandu Valley.
