Grande Hospital Starts Telemedicine Service


The Grande International Hospital at Dhapasi in Kathmandu launched telemedicine service to facilitate the patients to treat them remotely in the wake of outbreak of second wave of Covid-19 in the country. In view of the alarmingly increasing cases of new variant of Covid-19 in the country, the Hospital started the service to remotely provide counselling to the Covid-19 patients undergoing treatment in home-isolation and non-Covid-19 patients as well. Hospital’s general manager Bikashman Singh shared that physicians will provide counselling to the patients face-to-face through digital platforms. Singh said that patients could consult the specialists one-to-one digitally and be benefitted from telehealth services at the time of health crisis like this. According to him, patients could pay for the services through online. The launch of tele-counselling is expected to minimize the risks of Covid-19 among the health workers and patients coming to the Hospital to avail the healthcare services during such situation. The Hospital has been treating Covid-19 patients in its 54-bed Covid-19 treatment facilities. It has 16 ventilators and 18 ICU rooms.
