The Ministry of Home Affairs has formed a five-member committee to investigate the death of one Nabina Tharu of Madhuwan municipality-2 in Bardiya on Monday.
The five-member committee coordinated by joint-secretary Hari Ghimire is assigned to present a field report about the incident within seven days of the commencement of it work.
The panel comprises the deputy director-general of the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation, Bed Kumar Dhakal; Superintendent of Nepal Police, Krishna Koirala;
National Investigation Department deputy-investigation director Bikash Pandey and Ministry under-secretary Dhruba Khadka as its members.
The woman was allegedly killed in a police firing during a clash between the security force and Madhuwan folks who were demanding security from wild animals after a local was injured in a leopard attack. (RSS),
