Former Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center ) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has pointed out the need to bring about positive changes in the life of the people following the change in the political system.
Addressing an election gathering at Yachhok, Ajirkot Rural Municipality-1, in the district today, Chair Prachanda said that he chose to contest from Gorkha 2 in the election to the Member of the House of Representatives (HoR) so as to usher in an economic revolution.
“I began preparations for political changes from this district. Now, political change has been achieved, but people’s condition has remained unchanged. Therefore, I have come here to start the change in people’s lives and bring about an economic revolution in the country,” said the former Prime Minister.
The Maoist Center Chair pledged to complete the overall development of the Gorkha district if he gets elected in the election. “After I got elected from Chitwan, I could manage for blacktopping 611 km of roads there. Here, I vow, all the dray season road that I have travelled will be blacktopped and made into an all-weather road,”
He assured that he would take initiative to bring in a national grid in the district, ensure the development of education and health, increase employment, set up herbal industries in villages, develop Himalayan and hilly tourism areas and thus spread the message of prosperity from Gorkha across the nation and the world.
Gorkha proved to be a fertile land for political revolution, and I am confident that it will also be proved to be equally fertile for the revolution to bring in prosperity, said the Maoist Center Chairman.
