Ilam’s Chepti park becoming tourist attraction

The Happy Dreams Chepti fun park, opened in Chepti, Mai Municipality–2, Ilam has become an attraction for national and international tourists.

Manager Nitesh Oli said that more than 3,000 tourists from all over Nepal, India and Bhutan came to the park everyday to see the artificial Chepti waterfall and the different types of local and foreign plants planted there. The large number of visitors has also helped boost people’s incomes, the locals shared.

Dinesh Shivakoti, who had previously built the Happy Land Selfie Danda in Surunga, Jhapa, invested Rs. 400 million to construct the Happy Dreams Chepti park at Chepti.

“But this amount will increase as I plan to construct a cable car and zipline too,” Shivakoti told The Rising Nepal, adding that, in addition to providing employment to locals, he would allow people to use the cable car as an ambulance to transport the sick free of cost.

The fun park, built on 200 Ropanis of land, also has playgrounds for children, a rock garden, swan ponds and boating facilities.
