The Jhulaghat border transit point with neighbouring India has come into operation after being shut for 10 months. It had remained shut since the outbreak of Corona Virus. Issuing a notice on Friday, the District Administration Office, Baitedi has stated that the transit point will come into operation from today.
The transit is being opened following the decision on the same by the federal government, said administrative officer at the DAO, Shiva Raj Joshi. The federal government decided to bring into operation 30 border transit points of the country since last Friday. However, the Jhulaghat transit is coming to operation only after a week due to dilly dallying by the Indian side.
Travelers however will need to follow the prescribed health protocol while using the transit point. “As the risk of Corona Virus continues to exist, health safety standards will have to be followed,” Joshi said.
