KAHS Gets A Well-Equipped Ambulance


The Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) has received a well-equipped ambulance with the assistance of Indian Embassy.

KAHS Teaching Hospital Director Dr Mangal Rawal shared that the assistance would facilitate health service delivery to the people of Karnali when the coronavirus pandemic is taking a toll on human life.

Dr Rawal further said, “The Indian Embassy has aided three well-appointed ambulances to Nepal this year which were manufactured in line with the standards of the Nepal government”.

The ambulance is well-equipped with a travelling ventilator, ECG and oxygen monitor, automated external defibrillator, nebulizer set, blood pressure measurement machine, stethoscope, wheel chair, stretcher, radio communication machine and 4G mobile device.

On the occasion of the 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Indian Embassy has provided 41 ambulances and six buses to different government, non-government and non-profit-making organizations this year.

The Indian Embassy has provided 823 ambulances to Nepal since 1994.
