Kathmandu records 62 New cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday


The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 62 new cases of COVID-19 in Kathmandu Valley today.

Of the 6,359 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 62 persons were found with the virus infection in the valley, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Of the 62 new cases of COVID-19, 57 were found in Kathmandu and five were detected in Lalitpur. No new cases of virus infection were recorded in Bhaktapur.

62 new cases were detected in Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday as well.

Moreover, 381 cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the nation on Wednesday, including 15,156 cases of recovery and 60 deaths.
