Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has recommended model Khusbu Oli as a single candidate for the House of Representatives election from Jhapa Constituency-4.
Khusbu Oli came to limelight after winning Miss Teen in 2006.
She had also won the title of the Little Lady at the age of 10.
She became more popular after gangster Dinesh Adhikari ‘Chari’ was killed, because Chari was her boyfriend. ‘Chari’ was killed in a police encounter in Kathmandu in 2014.
As a model, she has been featured in various music videos and commercials. In addition, she is also the founder and president of Shelter Ashraya home.
Earlier, she was associated with the CPN-UML, but she quit the party and joined the RPP.
More interesting it is that her father Shyam Oli was also recommended as a single candidate to Provincial Assembly from the same constituency 4 (2). Earlier, he had contested for the mayoral post in Kankai Municipality from the RPP, but he lost it.
After Shyam Oli was denied mayoral ticket in Kankai Municipality in the May 13 local election, they quit UML.
Shyam Oli used to address KP Oli, chairman of the CPN-UML, as his uncle.
Currently, Khusbu is a member of the party’s central training department and father is a central member of the party.
