The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) will hold a public hearing next month. Issuing a notice on Wednesday, KMC said that it will hold a public hearing on March 3 at the Rastriya Sabha Griha.
The hearing will focus on the development activities the city has carried out in the current fiscal year 2022/23 and the services it has delivered. KMC will also take complaints and listen to the public’s grievances.
“We invite all consumer committees, community development committees, clubs, non-government organisations, social leaders, political representatives, women, people from indigenous nationalities, people living with disabilities, Dalits, senior citizens, marginalised groups and other concerned entities working in the city to attend the programme,” KMC stated in its notice.
Local levels are legally required to hold two public hearings every fiscal year. This will be KMC’s first one of this fiscal year.
