Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairperson Rajendra Lingden has spoken of the need to see politics as a means of social service.
Meeting the party cadres and leaders at Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality in Tanahu on Sunday, Chairperson Lingden said that the trend and tendency of making politics a profession should be stopped.
“Politics should be taken as an opportunity for nation-building, not as a ladder to grab the power,” he argued. Stating that weeding out corruption and making corruption-free nation was certainly not an easy task, Lingden called for collective resolution towards corruption control.
Warning that there was no space in RPP for those involved in corruption, he reiterated his party’s resolution to put an end to corruption.
“If our people’s representatives are found to be corrupt, we will take action against them and make sure they do not remain party member,” he pledged and added that they would recommend the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) for further actions against the culprits.
