The Standing Committee meeting of the ruling CPN (Maoist Center) held at the party headquarters in Paris Danda has concluded with the decision to finalise the names of ministers to be inducted in the government representing the party only after the Prime Minister asks for the names.
Dev Prasad Gurung, chief whip of the party, said the meeting also discussed about the party’s internal organizational issues besides issues relating to the government.
A similar meeting held on July 22 had decided to hold the SC meeting on August 1 and the central committee meeting on August 4.
Today’s meeting was called in an urgent manner after the meeting between Maoist Center Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba at the latter’s official residence, Baluwatar.
