Meeting Of JSP Senior Leaders Ends Inconclusively

A meeting of the six senior leaders of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) has concluded.

Upendra Yadav, Chairman of the JSP, said that the meeting held at the party office in Balkumari of Lalitpur discussed about the current political issues.

“We had an informal meeting among the senior leaders to dwell on current political issue. We did not make concrete decision, and we will have another meeting within a couple of days,’ said Chair Yadav.

Present in the meeting were Mahanth Thakur, Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Upendra Yadav, Rajendra Mahato, Ashok Rai and Rajendra Shrestha.

The meeting is held when the JSP is divided over whether to support the incumbent government or help form a new one, with leaders Thakur and Mahato lobbying for supporting the incumbent government whereas Yadav and Dr. Bhattarai vowing to do away with the incumbent government.
