Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung has directed departments and agencies under his Ministry to work with a focus on the government’s policy and programme for the current fiscal year, and in implementing the budget.
Addressing the concluding session of the first quarterly review of F/Y 2020/21 and ministerial development action committee meeting on Tuesday, he said emphasis must be laid on effective enforcement of the fiscal year programme to make the country prosperous through the medium of information technology. “Civil servants should work honestly with accountability towards the people,” he said.
Minister Gurung also made it clear that procedures, regulations and guidelines should not obstruct acceleration of development projects. Game changer projects in mass media, communications and IT sectors should be selected and implemented soon to enhance the image of the Ministry.
Ministry Secretary Hari Prasad Basyal urged all employees to work in a way to successfully implement all projects and programmes well before time.
