Miss Nepal Namrata Flying To San Juan Tomorrow


Miss Nepal 2020 Namrata Shrestha is scheduled to leave Nepal for San Juan, Peurto Rico, on Saturday (November 20), to participate in Miss World 2021.
The Miss World is going to be held in San Juan, Peurto Rico on December 16.

Miss Nepal Shrestha recently completed the construction of a 75-metre long Rainbow Trail- Bridge at Nilkantha Municipality in Dhading district.
The bridge that she has made will be presented in the Miss World as her social project as ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ title on December 16 at the finale of Miss World.

Speaking at a press conference organised here on Thursday, Miss Nepal Shrestha informed that it cost over Rs. 5 million to complete the bridge and the amount was entirely raised through various donors.

Nepal has already bagged ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ award which is considered one of the significant titles of Miss World.

Earlier, the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ award was won by Miss Nepal Ishani Shrestha, Shrinkhala Khatiwada and Anuska Shrestha in 2013, 2018 and, 2019 respectively.
Likewise, Supriya Shrestha, Miss Nepal Earth 2020, had chosen a project to restore stone spout of Dhobichaur in Ward No 17 of Kathmandu Metropolis to its original form. She will present it in ‘Miss Earth 2021 Pageant to be held in the Philippines on November 21 virtually.

Supriya believes that heritage conservation is also an important sector of conservation.
According to Miss Nepal organiser Hidden Treasure, all the winners of the 2020, except for Sandhya Sharma, Miss Nepal International, whose Miss International 2021 pageant was to be held in Tokyo, Japan was cancelled, are in the process of participating in various international pageants.

Earlier, Shimal Kanujiya, Miss Nepal Supernational 2020 had participated in Miss Supernational 2021 held in Poland in August.
Speaking at the event, Miss Nepal Shrestha urged everyone to support her to win the multimedia award title which will be provided based on the multimedia votes. She said she was hopeful that she would perform her best to win the title.
