The seventh edition of Myagdi festival began in Myagdi on Thursday.
Myagdi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has organised the Myagdi festival and Maghe Sankranti Expo-2022 with a view to support the development in the district by promoting tourism, agriculture, art, culture and local products.
It is believed that the festival will support making COVID-19 affected economy vibrant.
National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina inaugurated the 10-day festival being held at the Khulamanch of Beni.
On the occasion, NA Chair Timilsina expressed his belief that the festival would help in the development of the district in addition to preserving the art culture. He said that the festival would be successful in boosting the tourism and industrial businesses affected by COVID-19 pandemic.
He believed that the doors of prosperity would open if the private sector cooperated with the government as there are good prospects for hydropower, agriculture and tourism development in Myagdi.
