Nepali Army has rescued the person who climbed onto the high voltage transmission line, disrupting the power supply for about 8 hours in the Nuwakot area and cutting off the power supply from two hydro powers with the national grid.
Maila BK of Belkotgadhi municipality-13 of Newakot has been on the transmission line located at Kakani Rural Municipality-7 that carries the electricity generated by the Upper Thrishuli-3A and a small hydel project of about 5 megawatts.
Narayan Prasad Risal, Chief District Officer (CDO) of Nuwakot, informed that BK has been rescued by a Nepali Army special team.
The NA rescued BK and handed him over to the police, according to the CDO.
The NA has used a helicopter to rescue the person.
Both the power generation from the affected powerhouses and its supply have been resumed at about 7:58 pm after BK was rescued, according to spokesperson of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Suresh Bahadur Bhattarai.
