Shakti Gauchan, a legendary name in Nepal’s cricketing history has become a father – on Kushe Aunsi. Kushe Aunsi, also known as ‘Buwa ko Mukh Herne Din’ is observed as national Father’s Day in Nepal. Today everyone remembers and worships their father.

Shakti Gauchan, a former national cricketer is considered a formidable force in shaping Nepal’s emerging cricket scene. An all-rounder, Shakti is a right handed batsman and a left-arm orthodox spinner. He is the second Nepalese cricketer to score an international century, and has assisted the nation win several laurels abroad.
Gauchan announced his retirement from international cricket in August 2018, and in December, he retired from all forms of cricket. His retirement initiated a social media movement – one where everyone celebrated his glorious career.
While he probably will be busy being a parent, he has also said he will help the national cricket team when necessary.
