The Central Working Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress scheduled for Wednesday was put off after some CWC members and its office staffers were tested positive for COVID-19.
Chief Secretary of the party Krishna Prasad Paudel in a statement informed that the meeting was put off as per the instruction as it was not appropriate to hold meeting in the presence of large number of CWC members when the cases of COVID-19 were increasing.
The party has, however, not fixed any date for the meeting.
Sources said NC CWC member Chin Kaji Shrestha tested positive for COVID-19 when all CWC members had their PCR tests.
