Ward level general convention of the Nepali Congress in the remaining 13 districts is being held from Saturday (November 13).
After the party finalised the list of active members of all district, the Central Election Committee for the party’s 14th general convention on Thursday informed that it scheduled the ward level general convention in all those districts for Saturday.
Ward level convention in those districts was not held because of dispute over the active members.
Election Committee member Tej Rawal said all ward level general convention would be held from Saturday as scheduled. He said election process in all those wards will begin on November 13 itself.
The party has scheduled to hold its central level general convention that elects new Central Working Committee from December 10 to 12 in Kathmandu.
Before the central level convention, municipal level convention will be held on November 16, Provincial Assembly constituency level convention on November 19, House of Representatives constituency level convention on November 22 and district level convention on November 26 and 27.
“Now we have forwarded the activities of the general convention as scheduled. Now nothing can stop us from holding the general convention on the scheduled date,” said Rawal.
However, lower level general convention can be revised for one or two days if any problem surfaces, he added.
