NC’s Federal Constituency Level Convention Today


Federal Constituency level convention of the Nepali Congress under its 14th general convention is being held on Monday.
NC Central Election Committee member Tej Rawal informed that The Rising Nepal on Sunday that the general convention would be held in 62 districts. The party had already held the Federal Constituency level convention in 14 districts.

He said as the ward level convention was not possible in Sarlahi district also on Monday due to active membership row. The Federal Constituency Committee is fourth layer from the bottom in the NC organisation.
The structure of the committees in the NC goes like this: Central Working Committee, Provincial Working Committee, District Working Committee, Federal Constituency Level Committee, Provincial Assembly Constituency Level Committee, Municipal Committee and Ward Committee.

Meanwhile, in Kathmandu NC Provincial Constituency general convention concluded. The general convention held on Friday and Saturday elected the committee.
The Election Committee informed that Pralahad Bahadur Karki and Suman Kumar Shrestha were elected in Provincial Constituency A and B of Federal Constituency 1. Dhurba Adhikari and Udhav Khadka, Shree Ram Chalise and Bimal Thakuri, Bimal Kumar Hada and Ram Prasad Luitel, Dinesh Dongol and Raju Khadka, Khyam Raj Tiwari and Bishnu Bhakta Timalsina, Nabin Manandhar and Basudev Lama were elected as Committee chair of A and B Provincial Constituencies under Federal Constituencies of Kathmandu, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 respectively.

Indraman Singh Suwal, Shiva Khanal, Mohan Bahadur Basnet, Rajendra Bhattarai, Shilesha Manandhar, and Dharmananda Shrestha have been elected Provincial Committee chair of A and B under the Federal Constituency number 8, 9 and 10 respectively.
Meanwhile NC vice president Bimalendra Nidhi said NC has made a big contribution to the changes that have occurred in the country.

According to our Dhalkebar correspondent, while inaugurating NC Janakpurdham Municipality Committee general convention in Dhanusa on Sunday, he said the Constitution with Federalism, Republican System, Inclusiveness, mixed election system and secularism was promulgated under the leadership of the NC and it would revise the statute to make it acceptable to all.
Nidhi urged party rank and file to pick leadership unanimously if possible for all levels to make the 14th general convention a success.

Urging the party rank and file to make 14th general convention a success for peace, development and prosperity of the country, he urged to end bad practices in the country and the NC leaders and workers should work as servants. NC leader and Province Number 2 Physical Infrastructure Development Minister Ram Saroj Yadav said the NC general convention had energized the NC leader and workers.
