Nepal National Cricket Team has been defeated in its last match against Singapore, thereby returning home empty hand.

Singapore won over Nepal by 82 runs in their last games at the World Cup Asian Region Qualifiers held at Indian Association in Singapore on Sunday.

The match was the deciding match if Nepal would be selected for the World Cup Global qualifiers or not.  But with the loss, Nepal’s dream of participating in the World Cup has faded away until next time.

Winning the toss to bat first, Singapore had set the target of 192 for the loss of six wicket in the 20 overs.

Timothy Hays David collected 77 runs off 43 balls for Singapore. In the same way, Rohan Rangarajan and Manpreet Singh scored 49 and 42 runs respectively.

Chasing the target, Nepal could not score more than 102 runs with all wicket taken.

Parash Khadka and Gyanendra Malla by opening the batting only made 12 and 39 runs while Dipendra Singh Airee brought 23 runs for the country.
