Tea-pluckers are seen harvesting tea leaves in Jhapa, Nepal. Tea-pluckers are paid a daily wage of NRS 500 for a full day’s work, and is conditioned to picking 40 kgs of leaves. If the 40 kg threshold is not met, Rs. 2 per kg of the shortness is deducted.
