Nepal’s lockdown extended until 2nd June, 2020


A cabinet meeting on Sunday decided to extend the lockdown till 2nd June, 2020. An earlier meeting of the High-Level Committee concluded that the lockdown should be extended.

The meeting of the committee held today at 5pm decided that there is no alternative but to extend the lockdown. The government had earlier decided to maintain the lockdown till May 18 (Jestha 5). The government decided to extend the lockdown looking at the rapid increase of coronavirus infection cases and two deaths due to coronavirus.
