The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is going to organise 10 days long Photo Exhibition of Barpak, Gorkha from 23 April to reminiscence the devastating earthquake of 2015 and the resurgence of Barpak.
Similarly, the Virtual Heritage tour will be organised on April 23.
NTB on a press brief of Monday said that the campaign, which will carry the aim of populating the aspects of Barpak digitally and to take the online presence of the city to new heights.
The exhibition will feature historical, religious, cultural sites that identify Barpak. Various infrastructures, agricultural products, costumes of different castes, cultures, scenic spots, pictures that attract tourists will be placed on the online exhibition.
Dhananjay Regmi Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) said that those who want to display their photos can participate by sending photos and even the training has been organized for those who want to participate in the program.
Bishnu Prasad Bhatta, Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality Chair said that Barpak, an old settlement of Lahure people in the foothills of the Himalayas, is at the peak of national and international discussion due to the epicentre of the devastating earthquake of 2015.
He further said that the online program was organized to highlight the art culture of Barpak village and its tourism dimensions.
In collaboration with Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality, Barpak Friendship Society, Story Cycle, British Council and Nepal Tourism Board, various online programs are being conducted to increase the online access of Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality of Barpak.
