Even though Prime Minister Oli is preparing to include the leaders from Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) and Madav Kumar Nepal-led faction, the final names of the leaders for appointment in the cabinet has not been received yet. Nepal’s faction is currently holding discussions regarding the same.

“The final names from the Nepal-led faction will be received before 2:00,” said Sher Bahadur Tamang, secretary of the CPN-UML party office.

“Prime Minister Oli will include leaders from all supporting parties in his new cabinet. However, names from JSP and Nepal-led faction have not been received yet,” said Bishal Bhattarai, chief whip of the CPN-UML parliamentary party.

Tamang further informed that the Prime Minister was holding internal consultations regarding the expansion of the cabinet.

Meanwhile, Keshab Jha, a member of the Central Executive Committee of JSP, said that the JSP would not participate in the government in the first phase.

“We are positive regarding being in the government. However, all our demands must be addressed before it. As the Prime Minister is likely to fulfill our demands, we will wait for a few days,” said Jha.

“However, as the senior leaders have reached to an agreement in the meeting held on Thursday, I believe that Nepal-led faction will participate in the government,” said leader Tamang.
