Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and other parties represented in the federal parliament have come with a similar understanding regarding republicanism and progressive changes in the country.
In an all-party meeting hosted by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at his official residence, Baluwatar today, all leaders representing different parties expressed firm determination on progressive changes and opined for unity of all to safeguard the changes. They further opined their solidarity against reactionary forces’ activities surfaced in different forms in the country of late.
According to PM’s press advisor Surya Thapa, Prime Minister Oli urged all to be united to safeguard the changes achieved through a long struggle by the people. PM Oli committed to implementing the suggestions received from the leaders.
Meanwhile, Nepali Congress leader Prakash Sharan Mahat urged the government to work effectively to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ruling NCP chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, senior leaders duo Jhalnath Khanal, Madhav Kumar Nepal, vice chair Bamdev Gautam, major opposition Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, Janata Samajbadi Party leader Mahantha Thakur, chair Upendra Yadav, RastriyaPrajatantra Party leader Deepak Bohora among others were present in the meeting.
