A total of 216,000 doses of AstraZeneca-made COVID-19 vaccines provided to Nepal by the Maldives government are arriving on Sunday.
Upendra Dhungana, chief of the vaccine supply management division under the Department of Health Services, said that the vaccines would arrive in Kathmandu today at 8:30 pm via Qatar Airways.
The vaccines brought from the Maldives would be distributed on the basis of priority, said Dhungana.
Maldives is the third SAARC nation to provide COVID-19 vaccines to Nepal. Prior to this India and Bhutan had provided anti-coronavirus vaccines to Nepal.
