Pashupatinath doors still closed for Devotees.

It has been over five months since the Pashupatinath temple had shutdown its doors for the public due to the restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of corona virus infection. Among several other restrictions, the government had also ordered closure of religious places for public and no large-scale mass gathering.

We have been worshiping Lord Shiva from the front gate. Previously we used to worship by going inside the temple, said Umesh Kafle who has been coming to Pashupatinath daily.

Shrawan’s Monday used to receive nearly 5000 devotees in an hour but due to the COVID-19 situation only 1500 devotees have been visiting Pashupatinath in a day.
