Pashupatinath Temple Opening From Today

After a closure of 22 days, Pashupatinath Temple, in Kathmandu, is to open its doors for devotees from Friday, February 11.
The temple had closed on January 19 due to the spread of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus in the country.

However, Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has said that carelessness will not be tolerated and safety measures like social distancing and masks will be strictly enforced.
Similarly, only 50 devotees will be allowed inside the temple at a time, said Dr. Milan Kumar Thapa, member secretary of PADT.

All ceremonies like regular worship, Aarati and special pujas will also be held by adhering to safety protocols.
Issuing a press note on Thursday, the Trust said that the Guheshwori Temple would also reopen.
