The Pfizer vaccine amounting to over a hundred thousand doses that were delivered to Nepal under COVAX facility by the USA recently will be administered from November 14 to people aged 12 or above suffering from chronic illness.
According to Sagar Dahal, Chief at National Immunization Programme under Family Welfare Division, the Pfizer vaccines will be administered from 24 big hospitals across the nation, where specialist services are available.
Of them, nine are located inside the Kathmandu valley and the other 15 hospitals are located outside the valley.
Those people above 18 years, with chronic illness, who have missed out on their shots can also get their shot against COVID-19 during this campaign.
The government has made the decision to administer Pfizer and Moderna vaccines to children between 12 to 17 years.
