Prime Minister and president of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba has pledged to complete the construction of hydel projects including West Seti and Lower Small Seti.
Addressing an election rally today at Belapur, Navadurga Rural Municipality-4 in Dadeldhura district, Prime Minister Deuba said that attention will be paid to the development of hydropower to make the far west region of the country economically prosperous.
“West Seti is a project that can uplift not only Sudurpaschim’s economy but also that of the country. We can generate a great deal of employment after we complete its construction. And an agreement has already been made to construct this project,” said PM Deuba.
He also pledged to bring up new projects to make the people of the Seti and Mahakali regions financially strong and appealed to everyone to make candidates of the ruling coalition victorious.
Prime Minister Deuba highlighted that diplomatic initiatives will be taken to get returned the Nepali territory of Limpiyadhuar, Kalapani and Lipulekh. He said the government will hold diplomatic dialogue with both India and China on matters related to the border dispute.
Criticising the previous government’s step to dissolve the parliament two times, PM Deuba made it clear that the ruling coalition was formed for the stability of parliament and the government.
