Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is scheduled to visit Kanchanpur district on Monday where he will conduct onsite inspection of the proposed Dodhara Chandani dry port and under-construction Mahakali corridor.
Chief District Officer (CDO) of Kanchanpur Gopal Prasad Aryal said that the PM is scheduled to monitor dry port, under-construction four-lane motorable bridge over the Mahakali River and Mahakali corridor.
Likewise, PM Prachanda is scheduled to inaugurate a tourism festival in Mahendranagar on Monday afternoon, which is being organized by the Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
Furthermore, the PM, who is also the Maoist Centre Chairman, is attending a programme to commemorate the People’s War Day.
Senior Vice-Chairman of Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries Dinesh Malla said that the tourism festival is being organized here after the COVID-19 pandemic and is expected to promote industrial and economic activities of the region.
Malla added that as many as 100,000 people are expected to visit the festival and business worth Rs 50 million is targeted. The festival is aimed at promoting local products, tourism and, arts as well as culture, according to Malla. (RSS)
