Prachanda renews his call for fresh struggle for socialism

CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said a new sort of struggle was needed in the country, as Nepal and Nepalis were betrayed due to the division in the Maoist party.

Addressing a programme here today organized by Nepal Socialist Party, Maoist Centre Chairman “Prachanda” recalled that the People’s War came to a successful end due to good unity between him and another leader Dr Baburam Bhattarai and added that they have drawn a conclusion to unite for the cause of socialism.

“Bhattarai and I made the decision to go for the People’s War. The People’s War waged accordingly bringing about a great upheaval in the country. Now, we have reached a conclusion for the need of a fresh struggle for socialism,” the Maoist Centre Chairman added.

Likewise, he said that a bitter exercise of the division of Maoist forces was experienced in the Nepali society and the two leaders came to the conclusion that the split did not result well.

The Maoist Chairman was of the view that the separate experiments from the leaders posed risks to the People’s War, its historical roles, values established by the People’s War and the changes brought about by the move. (RSS)
