Prime Minister ‘Prachanda’ assumes office


Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has assumed his office at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar this evening.

Prime Minister ‘Prachanda’ was welcomed at the Prime Minister’s office at Singhdarbar by Chief Secretary Shankardas Bairagi and his secretaries and staff.

After taking the oath of office and secrecy at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas, the newly appointed Prime Minister visited the Martyrs’ Memorial at Lainchour and paid his respects to the martyrs. He then reached the Pushpa Lal Memorial Park in Kirtipur to pay tributes to the founder general secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal, Pushpa Lal Shrestha.

Following this, he reached the central office of CPN (Maoist Center) Parisdanda and laid wreath at the memorial pillar of martyrs and disappeared persons.

Meanwhile, the meeting of the Council of Ministers has started soon after Prime Minister ‘Prachanda’ assumed his office. (RSS)
