Prompt measures sought to control dengue epidemic in Dharan

Government’s attention has been drawn towards an epidemic of dengue in Dharan, Sunsari. Lawmaker Meena Subba apprised the session that each house in the town had dengue patients and two women had so far succumbed to a dengue fever which is caused a virus that spreads through mosquito bites.

She drew the attention of the Health Ministry to take immediate measures bring the situation under control. “Over 4,000 population have been affected by the Dengue virus” she briefed the House.

Similarly, lawmakers Rajendra Kumar Rai and Rani Mandal urged the government to make sure immediate shelter and food for the people displaced from their homes due to floods and inundation in Terai. nMaheshwor Jung Gahatraj suggested the Urban Development Ministry that it should make change in the house mapping provisions as to avoid the problem of inundation in Terai.

Ram Kumari Jhankri sought an action against those private hospitals involving in preventable medical errors and playing g with people’s valuable life.

Yagyaraj Sunuwar presenting the issue of a severe water crisis at several parts in Okhaldhunga district drew the government’s attention to find a long-term solution to the problem while Rangamati Shahi insisted the government should take presence of harmful pesticides in vegetables available in the market and its consequences on human health seriously.
