Restriction Order Enforced In 73 Districts


As the cases of the coronavirus show no sign of abating, the local governments and administrations across the country have started enforcing total and partial restriction orders in various districts.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the restriction order has been enforced in 73 of 77 districts as of Thursday for the prevention and control of the coronavirus infection.
On Thursday, a semi prohibitory order was issued in Mustang district.
Joint Secretary and spokesperson at the Home Ministry Janak Raj Dahal said that the restrictive order was implemented in Thasang, Gharpajhong and Baragung Mukti areas of Mustang district.
Total prohibition order has been issued in most of the districts while partial restriction order is in place in some areas, Dahal said.
In the Kathmandu Valley also, the second time extended prohibition order has come into force from Thursday for next 15 days, and the DAOs of the valley have restricted opening of the offices except for those catering essential services.
The districts that have been reeling under total and partial restriction order include Banke, Surkhet, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kaski, Kailali, Parsa, Dang, Kanchanpur, Palpa, Chitwan, Rupandehi, Baglung, Bardiya, Salyan, Sunsari, Darchula, Jajarkot, Rukum West, Dadeldhura, Jhapa, Morang, Gulmi, Pyuthan , Kavrepalanchok, Gorkha, Bajura, Udayapur, Makwanpur, Bajhang, Kalikot, Syangja, Kapilvastu, Ramechhap, Nuwakot, Taplejung, Dhanusha, Arghakhanchi, Baitadi, Dailekh, Mahottari, Doti, Dopla, Nawalparasi East, Rolpa, Myagdi, Bara, Siraha, Nawalparasi West, Ilam, Dolakha, Sindhupalchok, Dhankuta, Achham, Humla, Dhading, Rautahat, Sankhuwasabha, Sarlahi, Jumla, Sindhuli, Saptari, Okhaldhunga, Rasuwa, Panchthar, Solukhumbu, Lamjung, Bhojpur and Mustang.
Four districts — Tapleung, Rukum East, Nawalparasi East and Manang have not yet imposed any restriction order.
