SC Calls Amicus Curiae On Writ Concerning Formation Of Constitutional Bench

The Supreme Court (SC) is taking the help of amicus curiae to decide on the writ petition concerning the formation of constitutional bench without the Chief Justice.

A joint bench of Justices Prakash Kumar Dhungana and Manoj Kumar Sharma on Friday ordered to call amicus curiae to give their view on the case.

Advocate Dipak Bikram Mishra and Dr. Ganesh Regmi had separately filed the writ petitions questioning the mandatory involvement of Chief Justice in the constitution bench.

The SC has said that decision to the case will be made only after hearing the pleading of amicus curiae.
