The Supreme Court has postponed the hearing over Mohammad Aftab Alam’s case.
The hearing was scheduled for Friday in joint-bench of Justices Ananda Mohan Bhattarai and Nahakul Subedi.
Baburam Dahal, spokesperson of the Supreme Court informed that the hearing was postponed upon the request of the Office of Attorney General.
Alam has been accused of claiming dozens of lives in a bomb blast in Rajpur, Rautahat on April 9, 2008.
Earlier on May 29, 2012, the SC had ordered the government to conduct a proper investigation of the case and take action accordingly. Alam was elected as a lawmaker from Rautahat Constituency-2 during the first Constituent Assembly elections in 2008.
