The Supreme Court has refused to issue an interim order for now on the writ petition filed against the cabinet reshuffle done by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
A single bench of Justice Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada on Tuesday ordered the writ petitioners and defendants to be present at the next hearing on the petition on June 22, where discussions will be held on the question raised by the petitioners.
The Top Court has also ordered defendants Office of President, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, and the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) to submit a written response within 15 days.
Senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi and advocate Kanchan Krishna Neupane among others had filed a writ petition in the SC seeking an interim order to revoke Prime Minister Oli’s move to expand the cabinet.
