Second Dose Of Astra Zeneca To Be Administered In Kathmandu From Tomorrow


The second dose of Astra Zeneca vaccine will be administered to the people in eight municipalities of Kathmandu district from Tuesday.

Issuing a notice today the Health Office Kathmandu informed that the second dose of Astra Zeneca vaccine would be administrated in eight municipalities to the people aged above 18 years who have had their first shot from tomorrow.

The doses will be given at Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), Kirtipur Municipality, Chandragiri Municipality, Nagarjuna Municipality, Kageshwori Manohara Municipality, Tarakeshwor Municipality, Tokha Municipality and Gokarneshwor Municipality.

According to Health Office Kathmandu, in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), five hospitals- Birendra Sainik Hospital, Bir Hospital, Nepal Police Hospital, Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital, and Civic Service Hospital of Nepal- will administer the second dose of Astra Zeneca vaccines.

The listed five hospitals will have a two-day-long vaccination campaign, whereas, local levels will administer vaccination for three days.

It has been informed that the KMC will start administering anti-COVID-19 vaccines from vaccination centers in all wards. If needed, more vaccines can be added.

The health office has also urged the people to bring their card of having taken the first dose of vaccine and the print copy of their online registration or their photo with the number of online registration.
